Ankita Lokhande ruled the Television screens for a long time ever since her character Archana in Pavitra Rishta got extremely popular. The actor is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi.

In the movie, Ankita will be seen essaying the role of Jhalkari Bai, the one who used to disguise and shield Rani Laxmi Bai. Her uncanny resemblance to Rani Laxmibai helped her go in disguise and protect her Queen whenever required.

Today, Ankita took to Instagram to share a picture of herself in an amazing black shimmery gown. She captioned the image as, "Every day is a fashion show and the world is your runway..."

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Ankita got candid about her role in Manikarnika.

Talking about her role, Ankita stated, "I'd never heard of her before, not many have, but Jhalkaribai was one of the greatest heroes of our proud history. I'm honoured that I'll be telling her story to the world, fighting alongside Kangana's Rani Laxmibai."

Recently at an event when Ankita was asked about co-star Kangana Ranaut, she stated, "She’s a professional on the sets. And you can only see Rani Laxmibai on the sets."

Ankita further said, "Kangana is the hero of the film, and she’s launching me as the heroine of this film. I’m assuming I’m the heroine now! It’s not tough to launch someone, but it’s important to give the right platform, which I’ve got. I’m playing the role of Jhalkaribai in the film, and it’s a fabulous part. I’m working very hard for my role."
